Well Hello Port! We were nominated and featured for the Port of Long Beach 100th Centennial Birthday Party. We went up against other local bakeries and we were chosen along with another bakery( a giant well-known bakery ) for our display presentation and taste . WooHoo! So the challenge was to provide 1500 cupcakes for the event.
Easy Smeazy! NAWT!
Getting set up to display Cupcakes
I built the bottom, my brother Mario and Mitch built the top, the colorful cargo boxes.
It took about 5 hours to create....such nice guys.
My Gigi (here facing camera) was like Mother Theresa, when some of my cakes had been tossled, I thought she was gonna cry. She is no doubt my biggest fan, I believe she trust no other bakery but mine, Swooh, I am so glad that jaw-dropper is on my side.
Look at part of the Team.....Missing is Teena..she wouldn't be in one photo, but it would not have happened if TEENA was not in the mix....She was working with me 2 days straight with 3 hours sleep.YAHHHHH!!!
Teena's gonna kill me, but here she is.
She just likes to stay behind the scenes,
but she is the backbone to my insanity

The 'Display', it's a Cargo Ship! Carrying Krista's Kupcakes
Our Line for our cakes exceeded the competion and we were done handing out our cakes long before the competition. You know why? 'Cus ours ROCKED! The competion's cakes were all over tables, while my empty wrappers were scattered like a War Zone. That's right!
This was a Photo from a Long Beach Press, Photographer...I might add he did not take any photos of the other bakery...uhm...enough said :)
