So I started this little catering company in 2005 and it was centered around cupcakes only, under the name Krista's Kupcakery. Then after 3 years of catering for movie stars, musicians, well known hairdressers and lots of word of mouth customers, I was commissioned by Chanel to make cookies to help usher in their new perfume for that season. It opened the door for other desserts and voila, sug.ar came to fruition. Anything and everything.... sug.ar. If you need something, I bake it. My specialty is to make it as personal as I can, complimenting any occasion. I love coming along side you and creating something that will excite you and your guest.

Botanical Garden Wedding

Well not sure why that flower in the middle looks red, yuk,
but it actually was a beautiful hot pink

The Cake sat on a box of greens very lovely.
Then frosted the Rustic style, giving it highs and lows
to go with the earthy feel of the event.

Hello Have a Knicks Basketball Player at 'Sug.ar from the heart' Bakeshop

Well nothing like having a visit from some beautiful peeps, including
New York Knicks Starter
Landry Fields
Funny how he stands where the wall art says
'Hello Gorgeous'

Wedding at the Beach

Here is the wedding this weekend from
sug.ar from the heart
It took place right at the Beachcomber...
soo fun!
The Sweet Gals hosting this event were wanting a white theme with a small hint of agua.
So they chose White Rose Buttercream
Monogramed H made of White Chocolate
White Chocolate Sea Shells
Pearl Dragees in Agua and White
And Coconut Dusted with Edible Glitter
I went with a Rustic Frosted Topper, instead of the smooth finish
due to the beautiful beachwood that accented the event.
It just gave it personality.

Port Of Long Beach 100th Centennial Birthday Challenge

Well Hello Port! We were nominated and featured for the Port of Long Beach 100th Centennial Birthday Party. We went up against other local bakeries and we were chosen along with another bakery( a giant well-known bakery ) for our display presentation and taste . WooHoo! So the challenge was to provide 1500 cupcakes  for the event.
Easy Smeazy! NAWT!

Getting set up to display Cupcakes
I built the bottom, my brother Mario and Mitch built the top, the colorful cargo boxes.
It took about 5 hours to create....such nice guys.

My Gigi (here facing camera) was like Mother Theresa, when some of my cakes had been tossled, I thought she was gonna cry. She is no doubt my biggest fan, I believe she trust no other bakery but mine, Swooh, I am so glad that jaw-dropper is on my side.

Look at part of the Team.....Missing is Teena..she wouldn't be in one photo, but it would not have happened if TEENA was not in the mix....She was working with me 2 days straight with 3 hours sleep.YAHHHHH!!!

Teena's gonna kill me, but here she is.
She just likes to stay behind the scenes,
but she is the backbone to my insanity

The Side Profile of the Boat Display

Here we are pulling out the 1500 Cupcakes...YIkes!
The 'Display', it's a Cargo Ship! Carrying Krista's Kupcakes

Our Line for our cakes exceeded the competion and we were done handing out our cakes long before the competition. You know why? 'Cus ours ROCKED! The competion's cakes were all over tables, while my empty wrappers were scattered like a War Zone. That's right!

This was a Photo from a Long Beach Press, Photographer...I might add he did not take any photos of     the other bakery...uhm...enough said  :)
